Esmeralda, a dream

I first saw a Fiat Spider in Buenos Aires twenty years ago (I am writing this in 1999).

At the time, I knew I was looking at a rare import and that I was unlikely to see another one around, never mind own one. Nevertheless, I fell in love with it instantly.

Twenty years later, here in Ottawa Canada, my teen dream became true. A '79 Spider 2000 "born" at about the same time I first wished I had one.

While this pages were made for the fun of it and to share some pictures with family and friends, I would also like to humbly dedicate them to all those people who have dreams, no matter how small or silly, who never forget them and sometimes manage to fulfil them.

Esmeralda, un sueño

La primer vez que ví un Fiat Spider fue hace veinte años (esto lo estoy escribiendo en 1999).

En aquel entonces yo ya sabia que era un automóvil importado y que seria muy raro volviera a ver otro igual, ni pensar en ser el dueño de uno. Así y todo, fue "amor a primera vista".

Veinte años mas tarde, aquí en Ottawa Canadá, "el sueño del pibe" se convirtió en realidad. Un Spider 2000 de 1979, "nacido" en aquel entonces en que había deseado tener uno.

A pesar de que estas páginas fueron construidas por entretenimiento y para compartir fotos con familia y amigos, también quisiera, humildemente, dedicarlas a aquellos que tienen sueños, sin importar cuales, que no los olvidan y a veces hasta los alcanzan.
