In 1995, during one of my visits to Buenos Aires, I spend
the last hours there with my good friend Daniel
(AKA El negro) in the subways of that city composing
the images you can see here.
The different lines of the B.A. subways date from various
periods and the images, such as column I
and column II
try to reflect the flavours from a time now gone.
In many ways, these tunnels and cars are reminiscent of some
of the New York subways, but overall, they have a colour all
of their own.
Most of these images are available for
sale in a signed and numbered limited edition of 8.
They are printed photographic paper measuring ± 11.5"
x 11.5" (about 29 cm. x 29 cm.) and can be
purchased for $320 framed
and matted or $220 unframed, plus shipping
as applicable.

Tech Specs
These images were captured with a Nikon FM using a 50 mm.
1.8, a 55 mm. macro 2.8, and a 35 mm 2.0 on Ilford
100 ASA film.
The film was "pushed" to 400 and often expose for
1/20 sec. or longer. The overall results are "big grain"
and high, hard contrast.
